Laughing Daddy

I’m a father of five who truly loves his children. But I still put forth a facetious attitude about parenting because it’s a coping mechanism for the extreme challenges in front of me as I try to help five lumps of flesh evolve into exceptional human beings.

Louis C.K. is one of my heroes because he, too, can laugh at the absurdity of being a parent. Most of us try really hard and all of us fail a lot of the time. This piece, while comedic, offers a serious statement about being a good father. And it folds nicely into the realm of laughing daddies.
